hard drive back up stopped working
Just before I left for Sweden two weeks ago (which was great - I ate too much ice cream), one of my external hard drive backups died. And yes I normally have redundant back up but I didn't have a chance to make disc backups - I was so busy. I think I've lost at least one whole wedding - although already completed but still fairly recent. UGH! How depressing. I'm back in Melbourne now so have a few things to deal with. GRRR. I'm hoping I can recover the data from the hard drive by taking it out of its case - good thing I have some IT knowledge having worked in the IT industry for some time. Though there is a high chance the drive is really dead. Still under warranty and they will replace it but I want my data! Not happy, Jan.
